An element of immortality with collecting art

“Art is a living river that runs through our time and will run on as long as art is created and appreciated. To purchase a painting is to take a dipper full of the river home to constantly be refreshed with the energy of life. Every collector can collect something that is part of the continuum that is art and be able to say, without stretching the truth, that there is an element of immortality in what they have collected.“ QUOTE BY STEWART TURCOTTE

Style at Home – May 2012

There’s definitely an element of immortality with collecting artwork. As an artist, my happiest surprises are when I see my paintings which sold years ago, pop up in magazines.

One of my collectors sent photographs of her home in Vancouver into Style at Home Magazine. I am very grateful to have a little spotlight in the May edition. Thank you Effie!
